Translucent Elegance

Haven't you had enough of all the fluff and fuss of all the decoration of the weddings you go to?Puffy chairs, embroidered table cloths, embellished chairs..not your thing? absolute events today brings you the transparent wedding, where you can literally see everything and through everything. Its clean, sleek, modern and gives more space to the venue. The rigidness of the sharp edges are softened down by inserting flowers within the table and adding colorful mood lighting.

Table was filled from within with petals, so that diners we'll have a nice view, when looking down at their food.

Mood lighting really brings out the color scheme you would like for your party.

Glass candle holders with the acrylic tables really brings out the freshness of the flowers and makes you focus more on the aesthetics of the venue.

The sophistication of the  buffet's backdrop with its butterflies and stripes makes this party fit for a fun girls night in. Having the food placed on different tiers also makes it visually appealing.Almost all food items are pink, even the popcorn!!!

Black candelabras have been chosen to elevate the cupcakes that have a paper wrapper that matches the Parisian theme. The straws have a pretty puckered lip on them.

To complement the whole theme, pink truffles with a white drizzle  and a black and white flag on top, in addition to an assortment of chocolate cupcakes with pink and white icing.

PINK LEMONADE!!!! Doesn't that remind you of your childhood? And its pastel hue really gives it a girly look.

Another buffet table could be set up with the white and pink striped paper as a  table cloth as opposed to being used as a backdrop. The drinks have also been stickered and labeled to match the whole theme of the party.

The appetizers are also French to keep the parisian feel together.Above is a photo of panko crusted french fries with parmesan and parsley and next to is mini quiche with creme fresh on top.

To add a little pizzaz to the party, cheese and crackers with a lil bit of l'huile d'olive (olive oil).

Some sparkly juice, that has a fancy bottle wrapper around it .The trays also have pink petals on them.

Large tissue fan decors can be hand made and hung on one of the empty walls of the venue. The pillows chosen also matched the theme of the party.

Les Fleurs du absolute events

Spring time is the time where natural beauty is renewed and revived. In Dubai, we can see the first signs of Spring where the weather has become a bit warmer, but some rain showers are still there.Mother Nature is blossoming and that includes flowers, our greatest adoration. So we have decided to assign today's post to flowers.
For our events, its important to have a wide knowledge of what are the most popular flowers, next season's flowers and what are the types of flowers that would suit your tailored event or wedding.absolute events staff have been enrolled into Preston Bailey's floral design course.

Below we have found out the top three types of flowers that brides most frequently request:

1. Peonies: Gorgeous and fluffy peonies are the chosen flower for the new bride nowadays. So many brides choose the white type as their flower bouquet choice or pink ones for the dining table flower arrangement.

2. Phalaenopsis Orchids: This exquisite orchid has become very popular in the white and pink color. Earlier it used to be expensive, but luckily their price has become much more reasonable.

3.Roses: The most classic flower and most romantic.Because of its frequency and overconsumption, brides choose roses sparingly for their bouquet or flower arrangement. Its a s sad fact, but surprisingly  there are some new ranges of roses that have come out recently that are beyond the beauty of a peony.

The Bride didn't wear white...

It is a well known fact that brides all around the world, wear white for their wedding day, no question about that, but what about the brides who love color, and how can they  wear color on their wedding day and still maintain that elegant and classic look? Good news one of the wedding forecasts from the New York Bridal Fashion Week for  Spring 2012 has been a range of light hues like a nude color, greys and even a mint green color.

We've had so many celebrities resorting to this trend, such as Reese Witherspoon's recent wedding. The light blush pink  wedding gown she wore, has made its official debut as an acceptable color and not quirky, since she's a symbolism of classic beauty. Besides the blush color, we found many designers, from the states such as Vera Wang, Monique L'huillier and Oscar de la Renta.
We start off with the blush and nude colors....

The trend has gone global where in the UK, Marchesa has done it  and in the Middle East, the fabulous Zuhair Murad.

Vera Wang was by far the bravest in her color choices for her bridal collection, choosing grey and mint green...

Reem Acra has also chosen a very light green for one of her signature wedding dresses, but has added embellishments to it.

Alternatively, if you can't go all the way for this bold trend, you can personalize your dress by adding a colored ribbon around your waist or have a pastel colored veil instead as Oscar de la Renta has done for his Spring 2012 bridal show.

Spring has sprung..!!!

Yesterday was the first official day for spring, we can finally harvest our mulberry trees and pick bouquets of blossoming bougainvillea and jasmine flowers from our backyards. Florals for spring are not necessarily groundbreaking, but we can definitely see fashion designers getting inspired by them in cutting edge ways. From Kenzo's bold floral print hardcover books for their 40 years celebration to Gucci's printed dresses.

An innovative way to commemorate your spring wedding is though intensely hued wedding invitations, as we've seen from Atelier Isabey a New York based luxury invitations company.

Zig with no Zag....

We've all been mesmerized by the graphic Zig Zag trend, it has been around, since Missoni started their knitwear factory in 1953, incorporating different colors in a Chevron style. It was shown everywhere lately from fashion runways to your home offices floor. In the following photos you can see the many possibilities to showcase some zig zag love to your party or wedding.

These cookies are a wonderful way to present the chevron print to be eaten with their tea, at the beginning of the event.

These invites, would look so nice as a preview for the guests.

Since its a bold pattern, you have to keep in mind that a little literally goes a long way, hence the napkin above.

This is also a non traditional way of a wedding cake with a modern take on it.

Our absolute Mothers day gift choice !

Its that time of the year where we celebrate and honor our mothers with gifts and flower arrangements. We came across a beautiful flower arrangement embedded with scrumptious morsel-sized cake pops.

The cake pops are encaged within the flower arrangements giving it a unique flair.

A message of "WE LOVE YOU MUM" is written on the delicious morsels, when you view it from the top.

A variety of cake pop flavors were assembled in a tasteful way in which they are clustered in the middle and some are left aside.
These amazing flower arrangements with cake pops can be ordered through Salt n Sugar Boutique
