Simply Natural

You know how you look at women sometimes and think to yourself “she looks so pretty without any makeup on” when the matter of the truth is she’s got some makeup on!

That’s because she would’ve used a color palette that is very similar to her natural colors only fresher, which boosts her features automatically.

Follow these tricks to bring out your best features without having to try so much:

-Use a lip balm that is the same colour as your natural lips just to give them a subtle shine

-Apply blush that is the same colour as your natural blush to make them a bit more rosy.

-Smudge either black, grey or brown eyeshadow very close to your upper and lower lash-line and finish off with mascara.

You won’t believe how 3 simple steps like these will make a big difference to your appearance.

Spring 2013 Wedding Dress Trends

Five trends—color, portrait backs, peplums, lace, and convertible gowns—dominated the Spring 2013 Bridal runways.
More painterly than ever, many designers splashed their dresses this season with bold strokes of color, including smoldering reds, heavenly blues, and—of course—requisite bridal blushes.

Last season's sexy backs returned for Spring 2013 with a more demure, romantic attention to delicate embroideries, lace frames, and peekaboo keyholes.

Borrowing a popular silhouette from the couture runways, waist-defining peplums injected wedding gowns with a dose of haute style using both structured and softly draped shapes. It's a high-fashion look that's sexy and graphic.

Duchess Kate's royal wedding gown proved its influence after almost every collection this season showed some variation on lace unlike anything your grandmother would have worn. This graphic, floral fabric felt fresher than ever, re-worked into sexy silhouettes with a dash of tradition.

With more brides than ever calling for second party dresses, designers answered that demand with convertible styles that use removable skirts, trains, and capes to create a distinct reception look.

Look your best in photos

Here are 3 steps to help you look your best in photos - from Glamour magazine:

1. Apply makeup in the lighting you’ll be photographed in so you get the right amount of makeup on. If your skin is mature, avoid liquid liners and shimmer glitter. It accentuates fine lines and makes you look older.

2. Use a light-reflecting foundation and concealer to illuminate your skin and combat undereye shadows.

3. Use an anti-shine product/primer to keep your skin matte. Oily skin gets shinier thanks to the flash, and you’ll want to avoid that.

One last tip, if you have your hair tied back, tilt your head while being photographed so you look like you have hair ;)

Perfect Lips

Achieving perfect lips is very personal in terms of size and pout. However contouring them carefully gives you perfect shape lips regardless of size and pout.

Make it a rule, whenever you apply lipstick, weather you contour your lips using a lip liner or not, always contour your lips using foundation or concealer following your lip line from the outside. It is such a simple step, yet makes a very strong beauty statement.

If you are applying nude lipstick and do this trick, your lips will look fuller. If you are applying darker lip colors and do this trick, your lips will look thinner yet bolder.

Try both colors to find out which style resembels you the most!

Smok’n Hot

There is only one place were drama is allowed, the eyes!

Smoky eyes are the most sought after look by many women, it doesn’t matter what color your hair is, eyes, or complexion, smoky will work for you if you know how to wear it.

However, the hardest application is for blonds as you got to be careful of the colors you choose not to be too harsh on your natural colors. This is a great smoky eye example where the colors have been softened using shades of navy blue, brown and black. Notice also how the shadow extends just until the tip of the eyebrows and lots of mascara coats have been applied for that extra drama!

Nude lips is the best sign off for this look. Add some color to your cheeks and you are one smok’n hot gal ready to go out.
