Choose Your Colour

When it comes to foundation. Choose your color wisely. This is how:
  • Choose the 3 colours closest to your skin
  • Apply a swap of each colour on one side of your cheeks all the way to your jawline and blend
  • The colour that disappears with the colour of your skin is the right one!
  • The face is a better option to try the foundation colour on than your hands as you will often have different colour skins on each
  • Depending on the texture and coverage of your foundation, set it in with translucent powder that weighs a lot lighter than your foundation to avoid a cakey look
  • Finally, choose a concealer that is only 1 shade lighter than your foundation

Veiled!

Today, I want to talk about veils... I am sure to every bride, putting your veil on is one of the defining moments on your big day. As little girls, I am sure all of us dreamt of wearing a long cathedral veil with sparkles (of course) cascading over the shoulders leaving a beautiful trail of glitter and sparkles behind!

I would like to  indulge my romantic side and show you gorgeous veils and how it revolutionised to become more than just an accessory.

The Statement Veil
We have noticed that layers of net and tulle have been making an appearance of late on the catwalks of Armani Couture and Alexander McQueen amongst others, so if you’re a fashion-conscious gal then you can rest assured that you’re being on trend.

The Birdcage
The birdcage style is a fantastic compromise for the bride that wants to wear a veil but doesn’t want to be subjected to the treacherous consequences of wearing a longer length.

Spanish Princess
Spanish veil is all about making a hopelessly romantic statement which just screams luxe at the same time.

Long & Luscious
There’s something utterly whimsical about a bride enveloped in a cascade of tulle or seeing it stretched out behind her.

A Coral Base

We naturally lean towards the color pink when choosing a subtle color for the bride’s cheeks and lips. But I am here to tell you not to be afraid to diversify and go for corals.

Corals offer a nice sunset-like base that is very romantic and chic. You can mix coral iridescent powder or cream with your foundation, or just add some coral cream highlighter onto your temples, or simply apply coral color on your cheeks and lips. Remember your blush and lipstick color must be of the same family.

For longer wear ability, use cream based product and set in with translucent or coral color powder.
